Ratsey and Lapthorn are the oldest sailamkers in the world and have been making sails in Cowes on the Isle of Wight since 1790. The skills in the loft have been handed down by generation and today are combined with the latest up to date design and manufacturing technology for the perfect blend of the old and the new.

Our team consists of expert sail designers, sailors and sailmakers. We are knowledgeable and passionate and pride ourselves on providing a truly bespoke service. There is no boat too big or too small from Optimist to Schooners we welcome every boat we make sails for into the Ratsey family.
