Clem wins Moraira 300 miles race!
Clem is a Spanish Swan 56 based in Club De Mar, Mallorca. On the 27th January 2019 she won the "Trofeo 300 Millas de Moraira - Trofeo Grefusa" in the Spanish Mediterranean is an epic offshore 300 mile race for crews of three.
The regatta organized by the Moraira Yacht Club is regarded at one of the hardest in the region and attracts many sailors from Murcia, Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
The racing was tough, and a 300 mile course, 3 handed in 30+ knots conditions made it incredibly demanding for the crew and equipment. The Ratsey dynema Tri-radial sails were the first choice for the conditions, providing the right combination of speed, handling and durability and the crew were delighted with their performance.
Crew: Owner Jaime Olazabal, Pedro Amengual and Pachi Rivero.
It’s a great start of the season for Ratsey & Lapthorn. as we’re looking forward to a busy and successful race season, both in UK waters and on the Med. Where we will shortly see the Swan 56’s “Clem” and “La Belle” both fully geared up with Ratsey & Lapthorn sails fighting for the Trophy “Ruta de la Sal” in April and Palmavela in May.
