Swan 56's in Ruta De La Sal Success!
At the Loft here in Cowes, we are absolutely delighted with the success of both the Swan 56’s dressed in Ratsey and Lapthorn sails for this fantastic event.
Clem – Swan 56 – Mallorca to Ibiza leg
In really tough downwind conditions with the wind gusting between 25 and 40 knots, Clem went like a train, won her class and were rewarded with a overall second place. Huge congratulations to the crew.
La Belle – Swan 56 – Barcelona to Ibiza leg
With the same gusty wind conditions but this time on the nose, La Belle did an amazing job to win her class and take a third overall position. Respect to the crew as this would have been a wet race with plenty of rail time. Well done!
We’re expecting to get a new Genoa to La Belle before her next event, the highly competitive Palma Vela in early May. There will be a Ratsey and Lapthorn Crew member on board, so we will be watching with a very keen interest to see what happens next this 2019 Race Season for just one of many boats dressed with new sails by Ratsey and Lapthorn.
