In the beautiful port of Palma, Mallorca, 37 Classic yachts gathered for three days of racing in the sunshine. The typical Palma Bay sea Breeze delivered perfect Racing conditions for competitors and spectators alike.

Marigan, a beautiful 1898 Gaff Cutter dressed with new Ratsey and Lapthorn Sails was the oldest in her Class and the overall winner of the event, the winner of her division and she won the best ranked Centenary Ship! She has already had a fantastic season with other wins at the Puig Vela Classica in July and the Palma Vela in May.

Congratulations to her owner and crew, we’re very proud to have you in the Ratsey and Lapthorn family, we love to see how well you are performing under sail and we think your Trophy cabinet might be looking pretty good at the end of this successful 2019 season.

This amazing image with Palma’s famous Cathedral and mountains as the dramatic backdrop features two of the Classic yachting world’s heavyweights, Hallowe’en, the 1926, William Fife Cutter Vs Rowdy the 1916, Herreschoff Cutter.

Ratsey and Lapthorn’s Mediterranean Agent, Gonzalo, had the opportunity to sail aboard 12M La Spina, who at 90 years old is just starting her racing career!
